Beginning when I was 11, my summers in Temagami with Northwaters Langskib have provided the time and space for me to connect with myself and grow and shift in an organic manner. These shifts have often been subtle, but always profound. I seek out the trail each year because it is a place where I experience the greatest authenticity and joy. A magic exists in the adventure and in the transcendence of the physically trying, that humbles me and inspires awe and reverence for the land. I am honoured to share the rock, the movement of the water, the big changing sky, the discovery of personal strength, and the power of the community that is built, with my participants. These experiences inform my experience throughout the rest of the year, where I currently study English Literature, Art History, and Film at McGill University in Montreal.
