Josh spent his childhood growing up in Toronto, Canada until the age of nine. In 2001 he and his family moved to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, an historic and cobble stoned town high in the desert mountains in the center of the country. At age 12 he began attending Northwaters & Langskib on a recommendation by a family friend. Joshua took to it like a Loon to its chosen lake. From that point on he could not wait to return to Canada in the summers and live the adventure and comradeship each new session and journey would bring. NWL and the people he paddled and hiked shoulder to shoulder with have deeply influenced Joshua’s character and shaped the course of his life. Now an assistant trip leader at NWL he is attending Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario enrolled in the Outdoor Recreation program where, during his first year, he was voted by his peers as “the first year student who most embodies the spirit of Outdoor Recreation.
