Before I was even born my parents visited Temagami and took part in the Vision Quests at Langskib. They experienced the beauty and healing powers of the Temagami wilderness. When I reached the age of 12 my parents sent me to Northwaters & Langskib for my first summer. What I found for myself was a community and experience that changed my life and helped me to become the best person I could possibly be. In reality the experience is so much more than a canoe trip, it teaches you about life, who you are, what you are capable of, and how to form deep personal bonds with others. The experience brings me back to the program every year. The knowledge that I accumulated from my trips gives me the ability to push myself to more academic success, become a more vocal part of my community, and become more efficient and productive through my daily life. I am very honored to be able to share this experience with the participants at NWL and help provide an environment and community that during my adolescence helped me to find my place in the world. In the off season I am studying finance at Virginia Commonwealth University. I like to spend my free time kayaking throughout the Appalachian and Blue Ridge mountains in the southeastern United States.
