I began my journey at Northwaters when I was twelve. As I grew as a participant, I discovered my passion for the wilderness, and a love for the person I could be. I learned that perseverance and friendship are just as necessary as knowing how to paddle when it comes to surviving and thriving in tough situations. Fun and enjoyment mixed with challenges both mental and physical, and I learned more about myself in my weeks on trail than any other time. Being able to come home and know I had accomplished such amazing things helped me become a more confident woman. As a staff member, I feel both honored and humbled to be able to create the same sense of accomplishment and love for the outdoors for other young men and women. When not in Temagami, I am at McGill University in Montreal, studying both food science and human nutrition.
